Supporting Families, Strengthing Futures

At Greene County Public Health, our Help Me Grow program is dedicated to empowering families by providing essential support, education, and resources to promote healthy child development. Through a combination of medical connections, home visits, and personalized guidance, we help parents build a strong foundation for their children’s future.

Our Programs

The Early Intervention program assists families in accessing critical medical and developmental services for children who may be experiencing delays. By connecting parents with healthcare providers, specialists, and community resources, we ensure that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

The Home Visiting Program offers personalized, in-home education and support for expectant and new parents. Our trained professionals provide guidance on child development, parenting techniques, and family well-being to help caregivers create a safe and nurturing environment for their children.

 Home Visiting Models:

Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP)

The NFP program is designed specifically for first-time mothers. Expectant mothers are encouraged to enroll before 28 weeks of gestation, allowing them to receive continuous support from a dedicated nurse throughout pregnancy and until their child’s second birthday. Nurses provide expert guidance on prenatal care, infant health, and early childhood development through regular visits.

Healthy Families America (HFA)

HFA is a voluntary, evidence-based home visiting program designed to support expectant and new parents. This program provides families with education, resources, and personalized guidance to promote child well-being, family stability, and healthy early development. Through ongoing support, parents gain valuable knowledge and skills to create a nurturing environment for their children.

Family Connects Ohio (FCO) is an evidence-based nurse home visiting model designed to support families with newborns during the critical early weeks of life. FCO helps families navigate the life-changing transition of welcoming a new baby by connecting them with healthcare providers and community resources that promote the health and well-being of the newborn and the entire family. This short-term program ensures parents receive the guidance and support they need during this crucial period.
